First off I want to say I love the story and art of this game! The characters and storylines are lovely and it comes together wonderfully when it works. I played Ferdinand first and it went fine, I did a wrong choice but I figure it out w/o having to read the walkthrough. loved it! Then i did Emile and things started going worse, could not figure it out and had to check walkthrough without it helping as it seems it was a glitch. Played through once more from the beginning and Emile route was done w/o more trouble. yay! Then came Bernard... I have played his route through 6 times now w/o getting an ending. Followed the walkthrough but it has not helped. Couldn't get further after the portrait scene, then tried again w doing 100% what was in the walkthrough and the same happend, then on the next try I somehow skipped the portrait stuff and I got more story! but then it started looping the story from the beginning and then i was at 1st of april and I realised I had to stop. I'm sad to say I give up. As said the characters are awesome and the stories I got through was worth it! But Bernard, sweet Bernard, for me that story has become unplayable. I hope it might get fixed or we get an update for the game that can make you cheat through the stats so you can just play through all the things you need to get an ending. As said the stories are GOOD, the art is GOOD, it just sucks when even with a walkthrough you might not be able to get through the story and it takes so much time as even if you have read something before, if it is on a different day than you played it priviously you gotta read it all over again.
:( Precisely when just yesterday someone told me on twitter they had beaten Emile and Bernard's routes without funding any bugs...
I apologize for taking so long between updates; as you probably know I'm really busy with Exes Assault, and my visual novels are something I do in my free time, since I have a full-time day job and a family that sucks most of my time. But I promise I'll make time to do an update cleaning bugs and fixing typos as soon as possible!
maybe it have something to do with the version? I'm on mac so I'm playing that one. I can check it myself too after a break, just prefer playing VNs on the laptop and not the big pc, but can check if it works.
I totally understand that and as said while I am taking a break for now, next update I'll be back and try! the stories really are lovely <3
The version for Mac, Windows, and Linux are exactly the same, though. The person who said it worked without bugs for them was playing it on a Steamdeck console, but it was the Windows version.
It seems to work for some people! i have not yet gotten it to work for me tho so don't know what goes wrong. BUT the game dev did post an update saying they will be porting the game to Unity to fix things. Will hopefully be out in time for summer!

Unfortunately, I've tried two routes so far, and both don't allow me to choose where to spend my time the day after I get the sex scenes. I don't know if I've done something wrong.

Hey guys, i just want to express something here. the games made by this developer are all very much worth the money. if you are looking for a romantic story, a sexy scene, good looking characters and a good main character. definitely this developer will have the stories for you.
I say that because this game particularly is the first one where i encountered so many bugs, however being that this is stat game which even a team at a "certain" company for a "certain" game couldn't get right and later dropped.... i can only imagine how difficult it is to get these type of things working right without a team. I believe in future a lot of bugs will be hopefully fixed, but even if not, I still always enjoyed the story and romances, which is my main reason for buying in first place ~~!

p.s-also one of my hopes is that someone can make an actual good mermaid bl fantasy story, since barely any good ones or any at all to be honest.. (most just copy the little mermaid, bleh...). The only good mermaid bl story i have read so far in my full 27 years of life has been one on Webtoons called Castle Swimmers. only mentioning this just in case *wink wink* haha

I had the help of a good programmer, but since his system was too restrictive for what I had in mind, I had to basically wing it. In fact, that was what delayed the release for a year further than planned, but even with thorough testing for months, you can see the outcome :(
I think I've found all the remaining bugs, and I'm working on fixing them (alternating it with working on Exes Assault, because god knows I needed a change of pace). I'm sorry for the inconvenience and for taking so long to solve everything, but trust me, I'm doing the best I can.
haha, i'm glad you tried it. Honestly what I will say is your idea of stat raising is definitely better than most other games i played, you should keep trying different things~
By the way, there's a merman bl visual novel in the making, by the team behind The Divine Speaker, but I'm not sure if the project has been dropped or is still in the works! Might be worth asking them ;) https://team-merpus.itch.io/the-ocean-at-night
ah yes, their divine speaker game had some of the best voice acting, your 1001 night game also had just as good voice acting. unfortunately their ocean at night characters are no where near my preference for character design, however i can give try~

Are you playing the last version of the game? If you are, I'm noting down all the remaining errors reported so I can patch them in the next update. I'll take a look at this one.

Okay it let me download it, just not from the game page. It might just have something to do with the sale glitching it a little? Either way I'll update you if I find the bug again!:)
